William A. Heller, MD
Dr. Heller is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in care of the upper extremity. He specializes in conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He treats all upper extremity conditions; including fractures, arthritis, work-related injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other traumatic or chronic injuries. Dr. Heller performs a variety of upper extremity surgeries for disorders involving bones, tendons, nerves, ligaments, and blood vessels. He performs shoulder arthroscopy, including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and ligament repairs. He also performs wrist and elbow arthroscopy.
Dr. Heller attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals and a one-year fellowship at the Curtis Clinic National Center for Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Heller has been in practice in Chicago since 1998. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Heller enjoys cycling, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
